Wendover Book Spartans 2009

Wendover Middle School has done a fantastic job this
year at the annual WIRC competition. Team two, consisting of the seventh
graders, won first place! Team one, a mix of sixth and eighth graders, won
seventh place. They competed at Seton Hill University with forty-four other
teams. The teams came mostly from
Westmoreland County but there were a few teams from many other
counties. The teams both won each of their three rounds. They worked hard at
practices, while still having a great time. Ms. Lee is the Club Sponsor, and
Ms. Gaither is a coach. Great job Wendover Book Spartans!!!!
Team I Members
are Kimmi Casteel, Danielle Crise, Sarah Daehler, Bethany McPherson, Torri
Ruff, Sarah Smallwood, Sarah Stuchell, Katie Vanderhoff, Kameron Verner,
Caitrin Wilson, and Sara Zellers. Team II members are Nate Butina,
Rebecca Donohue, Penny Fjellanger, Sarah Johnston, Matt Kemerer,
Juliana Lozaw, Adam McConville, Katie McFadden, Dylan Pal, Dominick Sackett,
Cody Tompkins, and Matthew Vanderhoff.
