Located in the north eastern section of Hempfield, Bovard Elementary is a "child-centered" school always striving to provide the best educational program for all students. Committed to excellence in education Bovard serves approximately 250 students in grades Kindergarten through fifth.

• Average class size in grades K – 3 is 21, and grades 4 – 5 is 22
• Two full day Kindergartens 2 first grades, 2 second grades, 2 third grades, 2 fourth grades, and 2 fifth grade classrooms
• Full time Learning Support and Autistic Support classes
• Our curriculum provides for 40-minute lessons in the special areas of art, library, music, physical education, and technology

• Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
  We are fortunate to have a Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), which takes a very active part in supporting school programs and provides many items, events and services to enrich our students' school experiences.
   
• Partners in Education (P.I.E.)
  Our successful parent volunteer program, Partners In Education (P.I.E.), offers parents the opportunity to be more actively involved in their child's education.
   
• Project Peace in a Bully-Free School
  All schools, regardless of socioeconomic status, diversity and location, are working to confront the issue of conflict and bullying in our society, and help students cope with the aftermath. Bovard Elementary began Project Peace, the program now in place to deter school conflict and violence and bring about peace and a bully-free environment in the hearts and minds of our students.
  
  In A Bully-Free School Environment, we work to reduce conflict and violence at Bovard Elementary by teaching students how to discuss and mediate disagreements peacefully. We empowers students, who are still in their formative years, with the important life-skills that promote constructive communication, problem solving, critical-thinking and self-esteem. Through regular classroom meetings, students become active participants in governing behavior in their classrooms.  Adults handle all bullying behavior as soon as it is observed or reported.
   
• Scouting Opportunities
  Boys and girls at Bovard Elementary can choose from several scouting groups.
   
• Additional Programs
